Do you know that the Saint-Roch Church in Paris still bears the scars of the tumultuous era?
Located in the first district of Paris, the Saint-Roch Church, built in 1653 with the first stone laid by Louis XIV and his mother, Anne of Austria, is a place full of history. On its face, you can still see its scars left by the clashes between the revolutionaries and monarchists. During the revolution, the rue Saint-Honoré became the passageway for condemned prisoners on the way to the Place de la Concorde to be executed, often under fire from resistance fighters trying to save them. Dishonor, plundered of its works of art and tombs, the church lost the body of diderot, never to be found. A place where history still resonates.
